Robert McEvilla

Greetings

I am Bob McEvilla, but you can call me Robert for short. I live in the backwoods of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I was born and raised in Chicago. I have lived in Round Lake, IL; Gurnee, IL; Wadsworth, IL; Des Plains, IL; and Kenosha, WI. I worked as a pipe-fitter at a steel mill and a stationary engineer at Loyola University in Chicago. In addition, I found time to be a stand-up comic which led to radio and television commercials. In fact I have done everything except bust broncos and shoot buffalo for the railroad. I survived a forest fire, two floods, forty parachute jumps and a revolution in Latin America. When I am not writing, I spend my time chopping firewood, picking ticks off my belly, and swatting mosquitoes. During the summer season, I work weekends as a ticket taker for the Glider/Military museum in Iron Mountain, MI. I have a daughter and two sons. Then there are six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. I am engaged to Anna Volovik, formerly of Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
